Many times, we believe in the existence of God, when we get what we wanted and prayed for. Not surprisingly, we praised and honored His name more so this particular day than any other days.
However, what about the days when your prayers, are not answered? Do you still believe in God?
The whole of Hebrew 11 teaches us of having FAITH in God, in His promises that we shall shine in His glory!
Even verse 32-35 tells us that:
”32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets.33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again. ”
Believe is in the seen and faith is in the unseen! “Believe” only comes in when we have first have faith in God.
Lord, forgive me for my impatience, grant me a patient heart that waits and listens to Your call. Let me lean not on my own understanding but trust in Your way. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen. :)
